About André Cruz

Risk engineering professional

André Cruz is an experienced independent risk engineering professional, with a broad scope of expertise, who serves as a consultant to various organizations and has many years of experience in the industrial sector. He joined Bayer Portugal SA during early 1996 and left in 2009 as QHSE Country Manager. During that time performed a wide range of works in the most diverse areas, including: emergency preparedness and response, environmental liabilities prevention, occupational health and safety, product safety, among others within the QHSE scope.

 

After joining Marsh Risk Consulting in 2009, as senior consultant, performed a wide range of services to help clients to reduce or eliminate risks. Property risk engineering and loss control, business interruption studies, safety audits, construction projects support are among the activities developed along the most diverse of industrial sectors and services.

 

André attended the Industrial Engineering graduation before studying Mechanical Engineering at Institute Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa.  He holds a diploma in Chemistry and he is a certified Risk Analyst by Associação Portuguesa de Seguradores (APS). Detains various certificates in QHSE areas, including NFPA courses, and has attended several Bayer and Marsh Risk Consulting international training programs.
